Candidates for University Examinations are required to observe the following instructions very carefully:  1. Silence should be maintained in the Examination Room.  2. Candidates should take their places in the examination hall at least five minutes before the time fixed for distributing the papers. Candidates presenting themselves more than half an hour after the appointed time will not be admitted to the examination hall. Candidates who are undoubtedly suffering from infectious diseases of any kind will not be admitted.  Candidates should bring with them to the examination hall each day of the examination their hall-tickets for inspection by the Chief Superintendent.  3.  Candidates are prohibited from writing upon their hall-tickets or question papers. Candidates are also prohibited from writing their names or any other name unconnected with the answers on any part of their answer books, but their register numbers should be written very distinctly on the title pages of the main answer book. Failure to write their register numbers may involve the rejection of answer papers. They should fill in the subject and the year on the outer-cover of the main answer book. Register number should not be noted on the additional answer books.   4. Candidates are not allowed to exceed the time assigned to a paper.   5.  No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination room till the expiry of at least an hour and a half after a question paper has been given out, and no candidate who leaves the room during the period allotted for a paper will be allowed to return within that period.   6.  Candidates are forbidden to ask questions of any kind during the examination. They are further forbidden to communicate with the examiners, should they do so, their answer papers will not be valued and their conduct will be reported to the    B.O.M. for disciplinary action.  7.  Candidates are not allowed the use of books of any kind (except as provided in rule 8). They are also prohibited from introducing into the examination room any book or portion of a book, slate, blotting pad, cardboard, manuscript, typescript or paper of any description and from making use of any of those whether introduced into the room by themselves or by any one else from communicating with or copying from each other, and from communicating with any person outside the examination room. Any candidate detected in the violation of these rules will be summarily sent out of the room forthwith and his conduct will be reported to the Registrar. Such a candidate stands the risk of having all his answer papers for the examination for which he has appeared rejected by the B.O.M. and of being debarred from sitting for the University Examination for such period as the Board of Management may decide.   The use of stencils at the University Examination is not permitted except to students answering papers in Mathematics. The use of mathematical instruments whilst answering papers in Mathematics, Engineering, Agriculture and the Physical Sciences will be allowed. Such instruments will not be supplied by the University.   8.  Clark's Mathematical and Physical Tables will be supplied to candidates in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Engineering Examinations. Candidates should not bring into the examination hall their own copies.   9.  Candidates are required to provide themselves with their own pens. Candidates may bring into the examination hall their own ink-bottles. They must however use only black ink while answering their question papers.   10.  Particular attention is requested to the instructions regarding rough working and loose sheet paper, printed on the Answer books. Answers should not be written on the reverse of the title page of the main answer book. Answers should be written on both sides of the remaining pages of the Answer book. All rough work must be done on the right-hand side of the problem itself leaving a margin for that purpose with the heading 'Rough Work' underlined. The number of each question as given in the question as given in the question paper should be noted both in the margin and in the centre of the page of the answer book just above the respective answer. No separate books for Rough Working will be supplied to candidates. Papers should not be detached from the answer books of candidates. If the ordinary answer books are found insufficient, additional books will be supplied and these should be securely fastened to the main answer book by thread which can be had from the Superintendent.   11.  When candidates have finished writing their answers and wish to give up their answer books or at the end of the period prescribed for each particular part of the examination each should stand up in his place and remain standing until one of the Superintendents has gone up to him and has received his answer book from him.   12.  Candidates sitting for the examination at the different centres should apply to the Chief Superintendent of the respective centre for their hall-tickets five days before the commencement of the respective examination. Any particulars noted in the hall-tickets differing from those given in the application for the examination should be immediately reported to the Chief Superintendent by the concerned candidate.   13.  It will not be permissible for candidates to sit for the examination at a centre other than that at which their names are registered without the special permission of the University. No permission for change of centre will be granted. Application for admission to this Examination must be forwarded so as to reach the Controller of Examinations as prescribed before the commencement of Semester/year-end Examination together with D.D. in favour of the Registrar, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.  The candidates should fill all the columns including papers appearing in Hall ticket legibly in Block Letters with Black Ink without fail. Incomplete applications will summarily be rejected.  The fee prescribed for the Examinations including fee prescribed for Stationery are as follows:   Fee Structure:   M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm. Late Fee: Between 1st and 7th day after the prescribed last date is Rs.1000/- From 8th Day to One week before the commencement of Examination : Rs. 2000/-Rs. 150/- is to be paid by the other University candidates towards recognition fee (Rs.100/-) and entry fee (Rs. 50/-).  The fee once paid will, in no circumstances, be refunded or held over for a subsequent examination.  The candidate must forward with his/her application, attested Xerox copy of satisfactory evidence of qualifying examination in this  University are of having taken a Degree or a Certificate in some other University accepted by the Executive Council as equivalent thereto.  The Candidate must write his/her name including Surname in full in English. If a change in the name has been recognized by the University the name under which he has already been enrolled in the University should also be given.  Candidates must be careful in entering their age.  They should furnish the exact date of their birth giving particulars of the day of the month and the year in which they were born as well as their actual age on the date of application. An entry of date of birth once made shall not be altered so far as University purposes are concerned and will have to be repeated at subsequent Examination. Candidates should enclose an evidence of the date of birth duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or Principal.  Candidate who passed the qualifying Examination of the Andhra University should furnish the same date of birth as that given in the application for the Examination. Candidates who passed the qualifying examination of other University should furnish the date of birth as given by them at the time they applied qualifying Examination of the concerned University and should submit an extract of date of Birth as noted in the application for the Examination or in the registers of the concerned University granted by the Registrar of that University. Other University candidate should submit the Migration Certificate and to pay Rs. 100/- towards Recognition Fee and Rs. 50/- towards Entry Fee through D.D.  Candidates who are eligible and appear again Exam under improvement of class shall pay the improvement Fee of Rs. 300/- in addition to the prescribed examination fee.  NO PAPERWISE BETTERMENT.  The betterment provision is revised from Paper-wise to Whole Examination and limited to two years period.  Two chances will be counted after Pass/Class, i.e., after passing previous and final Year put together.  Legal suits against University, if any, shall be filed in courts within the jurisdiction of Visakhapatnam city only.  University reserves the right of allotment of Examination Centres to individual candidates as well as colleges also.  Any examination related grievance should have to be submitted within 90 (Ninety) days from the date of publication of the result.
