For the purposes of articles 4 and 4A of the Tax Schedule to the Punjab Motor Vehicle Taxation Act, 1924 as amended by Punjab Motor Vehicles Taxation (Amendment) Act, 1965 this vehicle shall be considered to ply ordinarily within/outside the limits of municipality to cantonment.2. Maximum number of passengers .. As in the Registration Certificate Of the vehicle.3. Fare (i) Rate.. As approved by the Government.(ii) Whether to be displayed .. Yes.4. Type of Taxi meter, if any.. 5. The vehicle shall be parked at one of the place appointed for the purpose.6. The vehicle shall not be operated in violation of any order passed by any District Magistrate under Section115 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.7. The permit shall not be transferable, save with the prior written approval of the competent authority.8. The permit holder shall ensure that adequate arrangements are made for comfort, convemence and safe of 9. The permit holder shall be responsible for the conduct of his driver and shall also ensure the following: _I (a) The driver engaged shall be having a Driving Licence with at least two years' expenence. (b) He shall posses the elementary knowledge of the mechanism and maintenance of the tourist vehicle drives (c) He shall posses the working knowledge of the topography of the touted or area of region in which the tourist vehicles is proposed to be used. (d) He shall possess the working knowledge of English and Hindi or any language of the region where he works. This shall not apply in the case where the driver is accompanied by a conductor who has this qualification. (e) In summer months he shall wear a white uniform of the following descriptions, namely:- (i) Loose trousers. (ii) Bush-shirt or coat with two pockets d the letter 'T' sewn on the left hand pocket of the bush-shirt or coat in red thread. (f) In winter months he shall wear a blue or grey uniform of the following descriptions, namely:- (i) Loose trousers. (ii) Buttoned-up coat with two pockets and the letter 'T' sewn on the left hand pocket in red thread or open coat with two pockets and the letter 'T' sewn in left hand pocket in red thread. White full sleaved shirt and blue tie. (g) The driver shall be cleanly dressed. (h) The driver shall behave politely with the passengers and comply with the provisions of the Punjab Motor Vehicles Rules, 1940. (i) The driver shall maintain a log book and a complaint book duly stamped by the office of the State Transport Authority, Chandigarh. (ii) The driver shall not as a guide to the passengers.(k) A notice plate shall be displayed in the vehicle No. brings to the notice of passengers that the complaint book maintained by the driver and uniform tariff has been fixed.(l) The driver shall not act as a guide to the passengers carried unless he is in possession of a certificate issued for this purpose in his name by the Government of India, Department Tourism.(m) The driver shall not indulge in any touring on behalf of or accept any commission or favour from shops, hotels and restaurants.(n) He shall not take a tourist to any unsocial place or to a brothal.(O) He should observe high standards to enable tourists to each other users on the road.(q) He shall avoid speeding or dangerous overtaking so as not to create a state of tension in the minds of passengers.(r) He shall refrain from smoking while driving or ehile sitting inside the vehicle.(t) He shall not depart from the itinerary drawn up for the tourist by the Travel Agent. If at the specific instance of the tourists some deviation had to be made; this shall be brought to the notice of the Travel/Excursion Agent immediately on return to Headquarters.(s) Under no circumstances the driver shall assume the functions of an Excursion/ Travel Agent. 14. The permit holder shall maintain an office with adequate staff and telephone facilities and also provide garaging facilities.15. The permit holder shall ensure proper servicing and maintenance of the vehicle.16. The permit holder shall receive booking directly from travel agencies and hotels to ensure that the maximum proportion of the booking area of genuine tourists. 17. The permit holder shall maintain a movement register as prescribed by the Department of Tourism from time to time as well as bill book and accounts book in order that the volume of business done on account of tourists can verified and assessed. 18. The permit holder shall submit to the Department of Tourism, Government of India a statement each month showing movement in respect of the vehicle as per preformed prescribed by them. 19. The permit holed shall be required to obtain the permission of the Department of Tourism, if the car is booked or a period of exceeding 15 days for non- tourist purposes such as election duty, marriage party or for hire to business houses on long term contract basis. 20. The permit holder shall submit to the Department of Tourism a return of total business done on account of foreign tourists for each exploited calendar account had to be supported by certificates from approved travelagents, hotels or from their own bankers, from which categorization of the permit holder will be determined. 21. The permit holder shall abide by any and another condition lay down by the Department of Tourism from time to time. 22. In the event of any change in the constitution of the term/concern or in the parties to the partnership the Department of Tourism/S.T.A. will be informed of such changes within a fortnight of their having taken place. A copy of the new constitution of the concern/partnership deed together with the above information. 23. The operator shall neither hypothecate the property of the vehicle submitted by the Department of Tourist facilities from such institutions. 24. The operator shall apply for renewal of recognition to the Director, Hospitality and Tourism, Chandigarh25. The condition of permit shall not be departed from save with the prior written approval of the competent authority.
